Apparently the Telugu version has an added song and a few more fight sequences in order to appeal to Ram Charan Teja's fanbase.

Shudh Desi Romance had a good weekend as it grossed around 22 crore nett plus. The film had a good Friday and showed solid growth over Saturday and Sunday.

 

 

Zanjeer has emerged as one of the biggest disasters of the year. The film costing around 60 crore including print and marketing costs has managed to gross under 10 crore nett in its first weekend.

 

The film does have a Telugu version (Thoofan) which has done better due to its opening but even that version has falling collections. The Hindi version will not even do a share of 10 crore. The breakdown for the first three days is as follows.

 

Friday - 3.25 crore

Saturday - 2.75 crore

Sunday - 3.25 crore

 

TOTAL - 9.25 crore

That is a possibility as well. YRF are going to great lengths to ensure that they control info about D3. They have apparently set up a whole VFX studio internally so that people need to be at YRF studios to work on the prints. Also, the movie post production is taking place in password protected rooms. Very high degree of secrecy.

Grand Masti has take the fourth biggest opening of the year in the morning shows in terms of occupancies. Basically it is the best opening of 2013 after Chennai Express, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Race 2 all three big budget films.

Grand Masti had an excellent first week of around 65.50 crore nett. It is the fourth highest opening week of the year after Chennai Express, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Race 2

Phata Poster Nikhla Hero began well at the box office. The film recorded a good opening mainly in the range of 40%-50% in the morning shows. The single screens saw a better start as compared to the multiplexes. However, PPNH saw a satisfactory occupancy in key circuits like M.P, U.P and Rajasthan.

I know, when all is said and done, this could end up in the top 5 for the year if it holds on. It can definitely overtake "Race 2" if drops are good.

The movie has ended its box office journey now, as it is out of almost all the theaters across the country. Chennai Express now stands at a worldwide gross total of about 420 crores at the Box Office.

Any predictions for Besharam?  Looks stupid IMO, but also looks like the kind of film that'll be lapped up and I've gotten used to the fact that RK looks impressive in any film he does at this point.
