Avengers: Age of Ultron OS Thread | $945.7M OS | $1.405B WW

if you add 44% to the remaining territories then you get 238. Still short but close. I think itll lose OS do to legs and china but win WW w Dom help

The list says including . There are other territories like Malaysia, Hungary not named and 44% is an average that won't necessary apply to the other markets in LA and Asia which have seen huge market growth even with the currency exchange issues. Venezuela alone might be 2-3 times as big.

I assume 55% is the percentage of territories  not percentage of potential BO(market share). Looking at TA1's openings in the remaining markets, sans china and japan, it adds up to just 41m in OW's. subtract Russia(16m, it opened a week later) to have a proper comparison to FF7 and you get just more 26m from those territories. 227m total if the same markets opened as FF7. FF7 wins the weekend. If this is correct then I assume FF7 wins OS with ease assuming shorter legs then of course there is the china boom.

You can’t compare total of FF7 to AOU. Those are not the only markets left. Middle-East, African & some Asian & LA  markets are also left for AUO. It is best to compare each market individually to get a better idea which of these two will do better OS.

Italy: With an $8.5M debut, this is the only major market where Ultron came in lower than its comps at 7% below Avengers and 11% below Iron Man 3, both of which opened on holiday weekends.

http://deadline.com/2015/04/international-box-office-avengers-age-of-ultron-furious-7-paul-blart-home-1201416588/

Actual is 8,91M$

AoU is on par of TA1 in Euro and outpaces in admissions TA1 and IM3 (about +15%), but cause a very weak 3D MS its average ticket price is significantly lower (and it had worse exchange rate if you speak about $).

Also AoU opens in holiday weekend.

What I found so far, most of the difference is SK. the rest is close, Another variable is some markets had 4 and 5 day weekends. Still not 100% comparable

Yep. We know how FF7 has progressed so far. Now we have to see how AOU will do. After 3- 4 weeks can get a better idea.

DISNEY

After recording the second highest opening Thursday of all time, it was only a question of how big Avengers: Age of Ultron would open at the top of the UK box office.

The result was a storming $27.3m (£18m) bow from its 585 sites, including $5.5m (£3.6m) from previews, as it dethroned Fast & Furious 7.

It marks the biggest debut of 2015, topping Fifty Shades of Grey’s $20.5m (£13.55m), and the highest opening in the UK since Skyfall shot to $30.6m (£20.18m) in 2012.

Overall, Avengers: Age of Ultron’s chart-topping debut ranks as the eighth biggest opening of all time in the UK, and lays down the gauntlet to James Bond’s Spectre and Star Wars: The Force Awakens for their bows later this year.

Among its many records, the film posted the biggest April opening of all time, while Saturday [April 25] saw the film deliver the biggest single day for Disney of all time with $9.4m (£6.2m), also the biggest day for a superhero film ever. It also achieved the biggest IMAX weekend result ever.

In terms of Marvel Studios outings, it replaces the $23.9m (£15.78m) debut of its predecessor, Marvel’s Avengers Assemble, as the biggest opening, with that film’s final result of $78.6m (£51.9m) firmly in its sights as Avengers: Age of Ultron attempts to become Marvel’s best-ever UK performer.

Also for Disney, Cinderella is up to $27.9m (£18.44m) following a $1.1m (£756,000) fifth weekend, a slim drop of 30%.

AoU just had the 2nd biggest OW for a SH movie here, behind Thor: The Dark World in USD (even though it beat TDW in admissions) and the 4th biggest OW of the year, behind FF7 (AoU OW is 1/3 of that), 50 Shades (1/2 of that) and Taken 3.

France - 5 day total :

1 556 508 admissions

TA : 1 441 080

IM3 : 1 633 980

TA did over 2 million in 7 days with one bank holiday, not sure this one will do it. It won't beat FF7's first week regardless.

It will not make 2M as I dont see a holiday in france monday or tuesday. Another market where the projections have kept coming down. Did not even do 5x of its OD.

Not  singe chance.

Plus i still tink AOU will end up outgrossing FF7 foreign Wise.

I agree Furious 7 has zero chance of beating AOU WW. BUT OS its at pole now as AOU is showing strong signs of front loading. But it still has good chance as China behaves differently and could make up for anything.
