Stateside, The Divergent Series: Insurgent grossed an estimated $4.1M last night. That figure will be rolled into Friday’s haul. Overseas, the screen adaptation of the Veronica Roth novel minted $8.2M through yesterday. Divergent OW $1.4m , $3.2m final Yesterday OD in some Latin American markets: Number 1 in Peru, Chile and Uruguay beating Cinderella. Number 2 in Argentina and Bolivia behind Cindy. SND is handling the release in the Hexagon where book sales have been particularly strong. Now with$2.5M through Friday, Insurgentis 71% up over the previous movie on a U.S. dollar basis. The final tally the first time around was $12.4M in the market. Behind France is the UK now with $1.6M. Australia is at $1.3M through Friday followed by CIS ($1.1M) and Mexico($1M).
