Fullbuster
Muy bien Fullbuster!!! "Once a year is harmless" 4 years of Spanish learning (and not over yet) can be helpful
Hernan Gonzalez
Muy bien Fullbuster!!! "Once a year is harmless" And talking about that movie it made $3.75m, so the average ticket price is $3.05 (even lower than the mexican one). It has no 3D shows and no IMAX tickets. fastclock
So, how much one would venture to estimate the BH6 ticket? $4? Or a bit higher because of the 3D mix.

I think $4m is good number. In Argentina and Brazil its average ticket price is around 15%-20% higher than local movies. So it should be around $ 4-$4.2m in Colombia as of last Sunday. Hernan Gonzalez
Wow it's really cheap compared to Brazil. Remember this is a local movie. Tickets for local movies are cheaper. For example in Brazil O Candidato Honesto $4.38 and Frozen $5.14 or in Argentina Relatos Salvajes $5.22 and Big Hero 6 $6.02

Rthmessiah
In admissions it is bigger now, Olive. But if we are talking about money Argentina did a little bit more than $250m last year and I don't have numbers for Colombia (I only found admissions) but I am sure it didn't reach $200m. Tickets there are 30%-40% cheaper than in Argentina yep about $us195m
Fullbuster
yep about $us195m There is room for Colombia to grow then. Given Colombia has a much more dynamic economy and a bigger population it's only a matter of time before it gets ahead in $.

PanaMovie
I know its not the right topic but as our neighbor country and central america doesn't have its own thread, I will post it here I found in the most important newspaper of Panama an article about the 2014 box office and they say that we have 5,079,000 admissions in 2014. Thats up almost 5% from 2013 (4.8M) We only have 3.6M habitants so if this is true its a great number for our country and Latinamerica (but still a VERY small country) 2014: 5,079,000 (+5%) 2013: 4,828,601 (+6%) 2012: 4,536,969 (+8%) 2011: 4,200,000 (+5%) 2010: 4,000,000 (+5%) 2009: 3,800,000 Right now we have 12 theaters and 84 screens if this is not the right place you can delete it
