Good movie. On-par with the first movie. Darker and less fun compared to Avengers.

Is that Fulham Rd cinema any good? I've been meaning to try it when I've been in London, but never gotten around to it.

Yeah pretty good but screens 1 & 2 are 1.85:1 no masking which annoys me - not to mention off-centre seating and the sideways angle of the seating relative to the screen...blergh, so I make sure screenings I go to there are at any other screens. Unless the film is 1.85:1.

I also went to the Vue Piccadilly Screen 5 for the first time (the former Apollo) for the 3D midnight on the 23rd., really shitty crowd (wasn't even a 1/4 full, was a group of like 10 foreign students) but god damn I think it's my favourite non IMAX screen in town - amazing stepped seating IMAX style, viewing angle etc... Trailers there - Spy trailer 1, Pitch Perfect 2 trailer 2, Spy trailer 2, Minions trailer 2 3D, Jurassic World trailer 2 3D.

Avengers: Age of Ultron
April 30, 10:00 PM, 100% full
Carbondale 8, Carbondale, IL

Trailers - all these were old trailers except Ant-Man. I wish there were more theaters in town so I could boycott AMC for pretty much ruining the entire experience
Terminator: Genisys - one guy clapped for Arnold
Southpaw
Jurassic World
Pixels - big laughs
Fantastic Four
Tomorrowland
Ant-Man - laughs at points

Some asshole talked the whole movie screaming "DAMN" over and over again. There were huge laughs but what else do you expect. There was no good trailers though so fuck this

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD (IMAX 3D)

BFI IMAX, May 15, 5:30pm

80% full

Trailers:

Tomorrowland 6-minute IMAX clip

Jurassic World trailer 1

Reactions: surprisingly muted.

I always find reactions there pretty mild. Only one I really remember was after Star Trek Into Darkness, the guy behind me promptly claimed as the credits started "Well, that was shit".

Mad Max: Fury Road
May 19, 9:20 PM, 70% full
Cinemark, Valparaiso, IN

Trailers
Minions cell phone ad
Sinister 2
The Gift - someone said "Jason Bateman? In a horror movie? Seriously?"
The Last Witch Hunter
The Transporter Refueled
Fantastic Four
San Andreas

Unfortunately, the theater was crowded in my row, so I was sitting next to someone who was repeatedly checking their phone and scoffing at the movie at a lot of points :( There were some (earned) laughs though, even if people left during the quote. My friend liked it at least
