"FRIDAY 1:30 PM: I’m still on vacation but can’t ignore four new movies opening in wide release and performing as expected. Universal’s comedy The Five–Year Engagement (2,936 theaters) from Judd Apatow’s banner is looking to compete with Sony/Screen Gems holdover Think Like A Man (2,014 theaters) for No. 1 with between $4M-$5M today and between $12M-$15M weekend. Sony’s Pirates! Band Of Misfits (3,358 theaters) should come in #3 with between $2.5M-$3M with a weekend close to $10M. Lionsgate’s Safe (2,266 theaters) could come in at $2.5M-$3M today with a weekend between $6.5M-$7.5M. And finally Relativity’s acquisition The Raven(2,203 theaters) is coming in between $2.5M-$3M today with a weekend between $7M-$8M. Refined numbers and full analysis tonight."

What a disappointing weekend.

Nope, any time an Apatow brand fizzles, it`s a good news in my book. Most overrated movies ever and most overrated comedians. With the exception of Jonah and Emma, everyone else can go hang themselves.
