If the 8% more than Thor is right then I think your medium prediction is spot on. It won't reach to BvS OW and total, but maybe just below Spiderman: Homecoming's number. I remember how huge the hype was, I saw bunch of promotions on TV, drinks (mizone) and etc. I don't see they have the same level of promotion with JL.

Just saw it. It's okay, not bad but also not good. It was a full pack session and other sessions at my theater were also full. I think it's going to have a better reception than BvS. It' shouldn't have any trouble getting to $10m mark, but I'm not sure whether it can reach to BvS OW and total number.

Yeah, I also saw Spidey last night. Tried 4DX at CGV MOI for the first time. 4DX is definitely an interesting experience, but I'm not sure I will try 4DX often, maybe once every 2 years. Anyway the movie is good, one of the better Marvel solo movies, Vulture is also better than most MCU villains, Tom Holland is probably my most favourite Spidey. This year is a very good year for comic book movies.

Total box office Spiderman should win it. Spidey will lose some screens to DM3, but it's not going to be as many as TF5 lost this week to Spidey. Maybe the local movies will be the main casualties. Those minions are really popular in here, the McDonald's Happy Meal toys are selling really well.

TF5 will surely cross $10m even with a really bad WOM. I wonder how many more $10m+ movies we will see this year. Maybe Spidey, Justice League and Star Wars ? TF5 gotta be a huge reason on why the local movies didn't do as well as last year. Wasn't last year big Hollywood release only The Legend of Tarzan ?

I agree that Justice League should be able to reach $15m because of the lack of competition. I am hoping it can break FF8's record but JL won't have any weekday holidays. Well I watched The Mummy just because it's the start of a new universe and my cousin is a fan of the previous Mummy trilogy. But the movie is boring and I don't think the WoM is going to be good. But the lack of new big release will help soften the blow. Transformers is definitely one of the biggest movie franchises in here. So with holiday coming soon, maybe TF 5 will get $15m+ ?

That's a very good opening for The Mummy, almost as much as WW and Mummy didn't have a Thursday holiday boost. I don't know whether it's because of Tom Cruise or the Mummy franchise is actually quite popular in here. So no Cars 3 this week, no idea on why they don't release it this week. Maybe to avoid the crazy competition especially with TF 5 coming next week and probably DM 3 in 2 weeks.
