Jonathan Bailey? Fantastic. Never watched Bridgerton nor does it hold any sort of appeal to me, but he's a great actor.

Taylor Swift will add no more than $5m at best if she has an original song for the film...otherwise, you're in a whole different universe if you think she can add 100x that or that she "can be the kingmaker in the elections." Ugh, celebrity worship is ludicrous.

I think this is going to shock everyone. The sheer goodwill and status of the first film coupled with Lady Gaga is going to make this the biggest film of the year easily.

What? How does a film that opened to $96m in 2019 adjust to near $148m today? That's slightly over 50%! No way. Maybe $120m.

I'm hoping this breaks the OW record for Warner Bros.

Great for Dune and KFP4. I never believed in Dune 2 hitting $300m, not even with a $50m second weekend (well, that would have made things more believable). A $46.5m second weekend is amazing, and the fact that it's going to go well over $200m is a lot higher than what many predicted until the past two weeks. A total over $250m for a near 3-hour, dark sci-fi film is a massive win by any reasonable standard. I'm still seeing $275m-$285m. Its third weekend will be critical in determining where it will land. A $700m WW finish is very likely happening, and that is fantastic. And I really hope KFP4 hits $200m, too! It's an underrated franchise.

Loved this film. Performances are strong across the board, especially from Chalamet and Ferguson. The visuals are gorgeous and when the film soars, it really fucking soars. The themes of power, religious fanatacism, and deceit are so well done. My criticism for this film (though a bit better from the first) is that it can get a bit too long in a few scenes. Also...the Bene Gesserit are the most captivating presence in the film. They are so mysterious. Bring on The Holy Wars.

Looks fine, and this will be huge. But didn't his girlfriend die in the second?
