  1. Funny how some are reacting to the music choice in the trailer. I recall these same reactions to Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol's trailer with one of Eminem's songs being featured. It turned out fine.
  2. 1. Black Mass--$43.7 2. Maze Runner 2--$42.9 3. The Visit--$11.5 4. The Perfect Guy--$9.9 5. War Room--$5.3
  3. True. I was trying to find international release dates but was having no luck. Although avoiding crimson peak and bridge of spies on opening weekend might not be a bad idea
  4. Noticed it says Oct 23 at the bottom of the poster. Are they moving this back a week?
  5. When will he have the time???? Geez he definitely works 365 days a year. Doesn't look like he'll be stepping back into the ring anytime soon though. Was hoping for a Rock vs Brock WrestleMania Main Event
  6. 8 PM-8/6/15 RPX Showing--8 people total Trailers: The Man from U.N.C.L.E--this was a Regal Exclusive Look, so it was a mix of a trailer with clips of interviews from the cast hyping the movie No Escape Point Break Goosebumps The Martian Deadpool Movie: Epic fail. No romantic chemistry at all between Sue and Reed. I bought into Toby Kebbell as a douche, total prick personality. Got a little gruesome with the head explosions. Now I thought Johnny Storm was supposed to be this bad ass, plays by his own rules type of guy. So he's cool enough to street race, but when in the other "dimension", he's the one who chickens out to scale down the rock wall......ooookkkk. Jamie Bell isn't a backup, bodyguard-ish type of guy. The Thing's voice was atrocious. At least it's only 100 minutes 3/10
  7. Ant-Man 7 PM--7/16/15 Regal RPX 3D showing in Kingston, MA Trailers: Mission Impossible-Rogue Nation: not really a trailer, more of a "Regal First Look", which focused on Cruise and the plane stunt Masterminds: looks terrible Batman v Superman: ballsy move by DC attaching this to a Marvel movie. Looked great on the big screen Goosebumps: looks like fun, a bit of a different cut to this trailer. Jack Black seemed to be trying to do some sort of accent, it was kind of distracting Everest: eh The Finest Hours: meh Fantastic Four: i don't know how i feel about this, honestly it looks "dead in the water" bad Star Wars: time for a new trailer, probably we'll get something at D23 Expo Movie: It was good....not great, not bad, just good, ok-ish. I thought the action scenes were great, funny bit with the paddle and bug zapper. Pena's voiceover bits were good too, although some members of the audience got confused at the end. They didn't stay til the very end, after the credits, to get a better understanding of it. The Falcon fight was cool, nice to see the upgrades to Falcon's suit on display. But there were some parts that just seemed draggy Overall I'd give it a 7.5/10
  8. Wonder if they'll incorporate the theme from the tv series into it. Perhaps over the opening title sequence
  9. I don't really see Chris Columbus as such a draw. Still never understand why he did a movie like "I Love You, Beth Cooper" But for this, the concept seems cool, the cast well not so much. Typical Sandler #'s of 40-45/130-140
  10. Some hits, some misses. The Liam Neeson cameo was pretty funny. The musical number during the opening credits missed. Enjoyed the nostalgia bits with homages to The Breakfast Club and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Overall it was decent, kinda meh. 6/10 The Neeson bit and when the Jurassic Park theme music started playing got the most laughs
  11. I have to think that with The Martian moving to Oct 2nd this will move elsewhere. I say Jan 8th, 2016. Taken 3 opened on the similar weekend this year and got $39 mil. Realistic expectations are for this to open in the $35-40 mil range. I think they'll have a better chance achieving that on Jan 8th against some Blumhouse horror and The Forest, rather than against The Martian and The Walk on Oct 2nd
  12. Born on Oct 17, 1985 (Thursday)--Looks like No. 1 for the day was Commando. No. 1 for the year was Back to the Future. 2 awesome movies
  13. Picture: Boyhood Director: Richard Linklater- Boyhood Actor: Michael Keaton- Birdman Actress: Julianne Moore- Still Alice Supporting Actor: J.K. Simmons- Whiplash Supporting Actress: Patricia Arquette- Boyhood Adapted Screenplay: The Imitation Game Original Screenplay: The Grand Budapest Hotel Foreign Language: Wild Tales (to be honest I have no clue) Animated: How to Train Your Dragon 2 (really should be Lego Movie) Production Design: The Grand Budapest Hotel Cinematography: Birdman Costume Design: Into the Woods Film Editing: Boyhood Documentary: The Salt of the Earth Makeup and Hairstyling: Foxcatcher Original Score: The Theory of Everything Original Song: Glory-Selma Sound Mixing: Whiplash Sound Editing: Interstellar Visual Effects: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
