  1. Saw this tonight and was very impressed it's not an easy watch (most walkouts I've every seen in a cinema) but I really thought it was great. It's most definitely falls into horror category for me especially the home invasion sequence which managed to keep raising the tension levels throughout.
  2. I'm not trying to be obtuse but I don't get what your point is here?
  3. It's a pretty great interview on that podcast as they manage to cover nearly every step of her career.
  4. Best case for its box office I'm guessing is that it's from such a popular book series maybe fans will still give it a chance?
  5. Scorsese on mother! http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/martin-scorsese-rotten-tomatoes-box-office-obsession-why-mother-was-misjudged-guest-column-1047286?utm_source=twitter&utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral
  6. God this was dull. Page and Norton were the only actors who added anything to this film by making their characters a little more interesting. Boring, overlong and not at all frightening with the bizarre choice of killing off the best actresses in it halfway through. A well deserved F
  7. I've seen it three times at the cinema and found it to be a very absorbing rewatch also I now know when to cover my eyes.
  8. At least at Cineworld https://twitter.com/cineworld/status/910941735131406336
  9. Is it wrong that I found the first part very, very funny? It was like the blackest of comedies as these guests would not leave and kept just doing whatever the fuck they wanted as your following the only character who's acting like a sane person would under the circumstances and no one will even listen to her. After the second book is released and things just keep escalating within seconds as the character literally moves from room to room the tension is horrible, I just felt anxious the whole time. The acting and direction is amazing would rate this an A
  10. I'm off to see it tonight and your thoughts on the film are making me look forward even more.
  11. Comparing mother to American Assassin tickets pre booked at by local cinema, both are rated 18 in the UK and released today. AA has 6 screenings and has sold 106 tickets, mother! Has eight screenings and has sold 259.
  12. I don't know about that! it's gotten pretty good reviews last time I checked. I'm hoping it does well but I'm keeping my expectations modest became people here keep saying how poorly it's selling so far.
  13. Liked the relationship between the friends and thought they sold the brother dynamic perfectly but overall wasn't that impressed. The set pieces weren't frightening and it was missing a sense of intensity, it didn't ramp up the scariness at all. Would give it a C.
  14. Finally saw IT and the hilariously terrible mother! Trailer they played beforehand imo they should of just stuck to the original one.
  15. The trailer I've gotten at the cinema for American Assassin is terrible one of the worst that I've seen recently.
  16. And from a different perspective mother! proves that Jennifer Lawrence is one of the best actresses in the world
  17. That's an interesting choice because I also love the novels of David Mitchell and I can see the similar themes throughout.
  18. Wait I'm confused after reading your comment I looked for the graphic novel because it sounded interesting but the only I could find is by Darren Aronofsky released in 2005.
  19. I really liked the fountain, I admired how ambitious, grand and romantic it felt, also very beautiful visuals so it's one of my favourites of his but that is not a popular option.
  20. Apparently on track for a record breaking amount for a horror film. Around 9-9.5 million pounds.
