  3. Kingsman - best movie of 2015 so far and it will be very hard to beat Paddington was a good film but more like 3 star level than 4
  4. in love with eggsy

  5. 9/26 - 9/28 The Equalizer - 30m Trolls - 15 m Maze Runner - 15m Walk Among Tombstones - 7m I wouldn't be surprised if The Equalizer did lower like 15-20m or higher up to 40m, or Trolls got a bit more up to 25m
  6. I saw it tonight! Thursday night preview. Loved it. Overall the action was very good and I think the film is very well made. The action in the maze, and getting out of the maze was very suspenseful. It reminded me of The Hunger Games, although personally I liked this movie better (although, I accept the story and premise behind the The Hunger Games more). The only thing I didn't really like is the story behind it, but I guess it's based on the book. I didn't get why they have to build the maze, but I guess it's just the premise that we're supposed to accept. I know they try to explain it at the end but it's not really satisfying for me, that they have to test children who are supposed to have a "purpose" by building a crazy maze like this. Some parts were a bit intense and pretty scary. I get scared easily by horror movies and for some scenes I couldn't look at the screen because it was scary. Dylan O'Brien was amazing on screen, all the actors were really good, a lot of familiar faces. I absolutely love him, and I couldn't help think about how cute he was in the movie through the whole film. I guess I'm a bit biased. Will Poulter from We're the Millers (I think of him as the one that sings TLC's Waterfall in the back of the car) Ki Hong Lee - I recognized him from The Nine Lives of Chloe King, he played the boyfriend of one of Chloe's best friends Thomas Brodie-Sangster - he looked so familiar but during the movie I couldn't recall what he was from, now I just checked it, he was the boy from Love Actually! No wonder he looked so familiar. 3.5 out of 4 stars, go see it! Just googled to find out what YA meant I agree, it's a lot better than a lot of other young adult movies like The Fault in Our Stars and Divergent I think The Hunger Games is pretty well made too and this movie is up there with that.
  7. Has anyone else seen this? When I watched it I was the only one in the theater. It was about an hour long. I thought it was an original story, and well-animated. I think baseball fans would really like it. I really liked the scene where Jack meets Babe Ruth. The story is a bit sad though at times, although I guess that is the intention. Overall maybe 3 stars
  8. I saw this yesterday, I think it is a well-made film but it's too "dark" / violent for my tastes.
  9. I saw this yesterday and overall I enjoyed it. Maybe 2.5-3 stars out of 4. I loved the turtle Maven and pellican. The acting was good and it was an inspiring story. It made me really admire the people that work or volunteer there and do this kind of work, especially at the end where they play the real footage. Austin Stowell was hot.
  10. I don't know if this movie is big enough, it's very independent but it was playing at the local landmark theater Henry & Me 2014 (animated)
  11. The Amazing Spider-Man 2, I didn't really like it I like the first one (The Amazing Spiderman) two years ago a lot but not the second very much
  12. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I was upset when I first heard there was a ninja turtles movie coming out and the trailer didn't look good, because it looked bad and they would butcher the legendary turtles. I thought the action scenes and cinematography were good, if the story and characters were better the movie would be a lot better. Overall: 2.5 maybe 3 stars out of 4 Good parts: -Action scenes are very good -Some good, funny parts -It was a lot better than the Transformers movie and a bit better than Spiderman 2 Bad parts: -The story, characters -I don't really like the voices, and look of the turtles -I don't think Megan Fox makes the perfect April O'Neil -Sometimes the turtles are very awkward in a bad way when there is a joke that is supposed to be funny, like it makes me cringe -Some unbelievable parts, like what the turtles were able to survive -I saw it in 3D but forgot i was watching a 3D movie, not really worth it to see in 3D
  13. I saw it in IMAX a couple days ago, amazing!! It was a lot better than 2D and 3D. It is the 4th time I've seen the film. Loved it!It's not overrated
  14. If a movie looks interesting and I've decided to see it already, I will want to see it but a low score can be discouraging, (like maybe below 30% for a movie that looks interesting would be discouraging). If a movie didn't initially capture my interest, a high score maybe 70% or higher *might* make me want to see it but not necessarily. Sometimes after seeing a high review if the movie still sounds boring I might want to see it still. Sometimes, if the critics rating is high but audience rating is a lot lower e.g., 90% critic rating, but only 60 or 70% audience rating, it's more discouraging. I like to watch movies for enjoyment and some of these movies are rated well by critics but maybe "boring" or not as enjoyable. I would still see a movie with low critics rating but high audience rating.
