  1. what was the deal with Bond going to extreme lengths to protect Swann, then he was just, go for a walk on your own i can't be bothered
  2. When Russell T Davies was bringing thr master back into Dr Who, there was speculation that the dr and the msster would have a similar reference to Bond and Blofeld in sphincter. RTD- a man not known for his restraint- stated that the idea was " beneath soap opera cliche". One can only wish that the makers of this film had listened to him.
  3. I think qos is wretched in a different way. Qos is shot and edited in such a way that much of it - especially- the action scenes is unfathomable. Sphincter is shot in such a way that it looks pretty but is uninvolving and dull- especially the car chase and most of the action. Sphincter and qos both have terrible scripts, but sphincter has the stupidest plot twist/character reveal of all time. And wastes Bellucci and Waltz, but uses Andrew Scott. Choosing between qos and spectre is like choosing between fred and rose west, but even if spectre is better " slightly less crap than quantum of sorearse" is hardly praise.
  4. It is a derivative, soulless mess. It begins well enough, but the bizarre title sequence (hentai?) and the utterly wretched theme song mark the beginning of one of the worst Bonds ever. Craig looks like methuselah and (perhaps because of age) the physical commitment he made in his first film is gone. Seydoux is bland and mainly a damsel in distress. She has no chemistry with Craig, which makes the ending of the film even more ridiculous. Waltz is wasted as Blofeld and the whole foster brother thing is even stupider than it was in the Austin Powers movie they stole it from. The idea that he is behind all of the events in Craig's bond films is moronic. Bellucci is wasted and her seduction scene is soporific apart from the helicopter scene, the only setpiece worth a damn is the train fight. The car chase idsbeautifully photographed but dull. there is no sense of danger. Bond even makes a phone call during it. Andrew Scott is miscast as an ineffectual pantomime villain in Sherlock, and he is no better here. Whishaw is good, Fiennes shines. he gets one of tne few funny lines in the film, but why does he gurn so much? he looks like Rigsby in Rising Damp. the action climax is a direct steal from an episode of Dempsey and Makepiece. the torture scene seems pointless. the film has bigger plotholes than Skyfall
  5. somehow the fact that you didn't understand it makes me like it even more
  6. I don't think that there is an actor anywhere with unlimited range, but if there is it certainly isn't Elba
  7. yes because every actor can play every role that is how it works. I'm waiting to see him as Miss Marple
  8. The relentless speculation and gossip about his casting...that is all there has been. He is only slightly younger than Craig which rules him out.
  9. we ll i'm a bit old to be a girl, but i have no interest in either paper or trainwreck
  10. i like to think that the public wouldn't support this if they knew of Dre's crimes. I also think that selling headphones is too important to certain people to be put at risk by something as trivial as the truth
