  1. THAILAND Day 2 (Thursday) : 38.98m THB (1.23m USD) -29% from OD 2-Day total: 93.8m THB (2.97m USD) Note that the Thai BO only counts the two largest cities (Bangkok Metro and Chiangmai) The nationwide gross is around 1.6-2x this value (so my guess would be around 5.5m now.) However, I don't think the nationwide gross is reported officially anywhere, nor does it get counted in the total international BO.
  2. To expand on this, Major Cineplex (the largest theatre chain in Thailand) has reported that the countrywide OD is >100m THB (~3.2m USD).
  3. Note that the actuals in Thailand* till Thursday is $6.93m. (243.43m Thai Baht) Maybe Disney is counting more cities* than BOM. * The "Thailand" Box Office only actually counts only two cities: Bangkok and Chiang Mai.
  4. Thailand update: local sources say the number through Monday is $5.66m, so about $0.8m on Monday (It's a holiday though, since 1 May fell on a Sunday). Meanwhile BOM estimates the total as $7.4m, with $1.4m on Monday. IDK how there is such a big discrepancy.
  5. The actuals in Thailand are out - it seems that CA:CW only opened to $3.7m (4-day)/$4.9m (5-day) (131.34m/169.76m local) here. So it's just 5th biggest OW.
  6. It's likely that it's because Japan's weekend is Sat-Sun, so the $2+m earned in Japan in Friday is not included in the weekend total.
  7. Based on BOM's daily data, CA:CW also have the highest OW (Thu-Sun) ever in Thailand with $4.9m, beating Furious 7's $4.2m. THAILAND Weekend box office data is not yet available for this title. Showing Available Gross-to-Date History Date Gross-to-Date 4/27/16 $1,100,000 4/28/16 $1,900,000 4/29/16 $2,700,000 5/1/16 $6,000,000 Also, since when did BOM have daily data on OS countries?
  8. There was some argument between Corpse and No Prisoners at the time of Frozen's run.
  9. Just saw this today. My predictions and scores for this week are lost Also currently on my Predictions page, the "Your Predictions" column changes randomly (when I refresh) between - Rolling Thunder's predictions - some other numbers I'm sure was not mine, but was also not any other person's numbers. (BTW, this set of numbers also scores 84%) (Can provide screenshots if needed) Is that also a result of the database issues?
  10. I read about the numbers in newspapers since 2008 or something and lurked here since Frozen's run in 2013. At least there is Frozen's Japan run for me.
  11. I just realized that with 15m Friday there is a real chance of BvS 2nd Weekend < Zootopia 2nd Weekend (51.34m)
  12. It opened to 22m Yuan, about 3.5m$ and increased 180%+ on Saturday. OW is likely around 140m Yuan. It also have one of the best (if not the best) ratings by audiences so far, i.e. very very strong WOM. Several posters here guess that its total may reach 1B Yuan (about 150m$)
  13. You can see the grosses of movies in US$ at http://boxofficechina.com/beta/.
  14. So will it hit 3B tomorrow? Do movies increase on Friday in China?
  15. Opened in Thailand today. I haven't seen it, but the general reaction is that it's a dumb but fun flick with meh CGI.
  16. Zootopia got $0.05m in Thailand for 2 days of previews. (some selected theaters for 1-3 screenings per day), getting very good reviews and WOM from preview screenings here. Movies hardly have limited previews like these here, so hard to judge what will be its final gross. (Animations normally don't do well here, the highest grossing WDAS movie here is Big Hero 6 at $1.8m)
  17. Also BOM need to take chinese films more seriously. (Is that the right word?) I mean their 2016 WW chart is like this: 2016 WORLDWIDE GROSSES Rank Title (click to view) Studio* Filter A24 BV Focus Fox LGF ORF Par. SGem Sony STX Uni. WB Wein. 18. Deadpool opened to THB15.39m OD in Thailand, on par with SW7.
  19. Excuse me, but where do you all get the presale data? I couldn't find them on http://111.205.151.7/ and cbooo.cn.
  20. ^ I just saw that they updated last year's data. Edited that post.
  21. THAILAND movies grossing >= $5m Notes: Reported numbers in THB and USD have some inconsistencies, especially of recent Disney movies (where the USD gross can be about 30% higher than local sources report.) For these entries, I decided to convert the local number to USD with the appropriate exchange rate. The official Thailand BO counts only the two largest cities (Bangkok, Chiang Mai.) The nationwide BO numbers are rarely reported and should be around 1.6-2 times the official BO. Local movies are in italic. .tg {border-collapse:collapse;border-spacing:0;} .tg td{font-family:Arial, sans-serif;font-size:14px;padding:10px 5px;border-style:solid;border-width:1px;overflow:hidden;word-break:normal;border-color:black;} .tg th{font-family:Arial, sans-serif;font-size:14px;font-weight:normal;padding:10px 5px;border-style:solid;border-width:1px;overflow:hidden;word-break:normal;border-color:black;} .tg .tg-yw4l{vertical-align:top} .tg .tg-jogk{font-style:italic;vertical-align:top} Rank Movie Year Gross 1 Pee Mak Phrakanong 2013 $19.50m 2 Furious 7 2015 $13.18m 3 I Fine Thank You Love You 2014 $10.08m 4 Transformers 3 2011 $9.70m 5 Transformers 4 2014 $9.61m 6 Fate of the Furious 2017 $9.32m 7 Iron Man 3 2013 $8.87m 8 The Avengers: Age of Ultron 2015 $8.85m 9 Captain America: Civil War 2016 $8.83m 10 Avatar 2009 $8.41m 11 Jurassic World 2015 $8.22m 12 The Avengers 2012 $7.93m 13 Suriyotai 2001 $7.37m 14 King Naresuan 2 2007 $7.22m 15 King Naresuan 1 2007 $7.12m 16 Fast and Furious 6 2013 $7.04m 17 King Naresuan 3 2011 $6.79m 18 Deathly Hallows Part 2 2011 $6.71m 19 2012 2009 $6.43m 20 Black Panther 2018 $6.37m 21 Breaking Dawn Part 2 2012 $6.23m 22 King Naresuan 5 2014 $6.14m 23 Spider-Man 3 2007 $6.05m 24 Order of the Phoenix 2007 $5.73m 25 The Amazing Spider-Man 2 2014 $5.58m 26 Thor: Ragnarok 2017 $5.51m 27 Spider-Man: Homecoming 2017 $5.42m 28 Batman v Superman 2016 $5.39m 29 Captain America: The Winter Soldier 2014 $5.08m 30 ATM: Er-Rak Error 2012 $5.06m 31 Deadpool 2016 $5.00m Updated as of 27 Apr 2018
  22. Thanks to both of you So, the number of tickets is now 635245?
  23. Never watched any Star Wars movie before seeing this. It's a fun and entertaining movie, but I don't understand why they need to find a map to Luke Skywalker. 8/10
