  1. I just found out on BoxOfficeMojo that this movie is currently doing better here in Argentina than every European country it has opened in. That's crazy, isn't it?
  2. Yeah, it's definitely underperforming. As i pointed out a few posts ago, the Violetta concert movie was doing similar numbers (or even better, in some cases) to this, and that shouldn't be the case at all. I just hope it makes whatever budget it used, that's all i really care about now. And yeah, this movie should have come out in like, mid-2015 when Violetta was still fresh, but the tour was the priority back then, can't blame them!
  3. I don't know anymore to be honest. It seems like Tini really did become a star of her own, her album is doing well and all, but the movie is most definitely not performing up to the expectations i had for it (at least in Europe). I'm afraid the same could happen here in Latin America!
  4. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/intl/?page=&wk=2016W19&id=_fTINIELGRANCAMBIO01 France: $774,140 dollars opening weekend, opened at #6 Spain: $388,604 dollars opening weekend, opened at #4 Netherlands: $68,986 dollars opening weekend, opened at #7 Portugal: $29,883 dollars opening weekend, opened at #8 TOTAL gross as of the latest update: $1,270,984 dollars in 4 countries. Not doing any wonders, but i guess it'll do fine. Either way i'm not gonna lie, i was expecting it to do better! EDIT: To make a comparison, the Violetta concert movie in 2014 did: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/intl/?page=&id=_fVIOLETTALAEMOCI01 Spain: $702,614 dollars opening weekend, opened at #3 Portugal: $178,216 dollars opening weekend opened at #2
  5. I have a feeling that this will go all the way to become a $1 Billion grossing film!
  6. I'm really rooting for this to reach $1 Billion. It seems like there's a good chance so far, but only time will tell!
  7. Is there a place to look what the highest grossing studios of the year are (worldwide)? I know i can look in Box Office Mojo for the domestic highest grossing studios, but i tried looking for the highest grossing studios worldwide and didn't find anything anywhere!
  8. I didn't even know we had a thread for Argentina here because i never came accross with it until now. Good to see it exists as i'm from there, i like to see this info about my country. That being said, I wonder how much "Tini: El gran cambio de Violetta" can do, Violetta was HUGE here!
  9. "Tini: El Gran Cambio de Violetta" is a Disney movie meant as a closure to Disney Channel's hit series "Violetta". The rollout of this movie will start in May in Europe. 10. Wow Zootopia is doing big business over there!
  11. This movie seems to be having great holds in most places. I really wasn't expecting it to be the success it turned out being!
  12. Wait, this grossed $430M? I clearly haven't been paying much attention to it's performance (Zootopia and Deadpool were catching all of my attention) but i didn't expect it to be anywhere near that. That's huge!
  13. Thankfully. That number as it currently stands is particularly painful, so close yet so far!
