  1. I watched it the second time tonight. Before I booked the screening I had to make sure they have subtitles, so they give me one of those Captiview machines you put in the drink holder so that it won't obstruct other viewers and guess what? HOLY SHIT! The first time I saw this movie I was so CONFUSED. Aside from the visuals nothing really made sense, everything else was confusing. But tonight, with the subtitles, everything actually made sense and it hit so different when I can finally understand what the hell was going on. I don't think Nolan lost his touch, he just made a more complex film. Yes, Interstellar and Inception were confusing at first, but this one is more confusing than those at first watch. Crazy how this movie blew my mind away on the second watch, it felt like I was watching it again for the first time.
  2. Saw it last night too mate and half the time couldn't understand the dialogue. Not sure if it was just my theatre or the sound mixing was just really awful. Will have to rewatch it next week! Thanks for this
  3. I've seen this 5 times already in the big screen. I tried watching the screener but it just doesn't work the same way it did in the cinema. The epilogue still fucks me up.
  4. in Mia's voice, "Are you kidding?" It's a fucking spectacular scene, a directorial achievement.
  5. This is opening here tomorrow and I am going to get my ass lined up in the first show!
  6. OMG my late-ass country is "tentatively" scheduling this on the 11th and I couldn't be more optimistic after oh-so-many delays! I have memorized the soundtrack already and it seems like I can picture the entire film in my head now! Take my coins Chazelle, they've been ready since November.
  7. That's a matter of taste, I'm mostly referring to IMDb placements! It's climbed to #28
  8. This is already #29 in IMDb's Top 250 by the way! Chazelle has two films in the Top 50 now. New Nolan (except beloved by the Academy) confirmed
  9. La La Land is doing really well, isn't it? Where do you think it is heading?
  10. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it considering I am crazily promoting this film to my friends which I know are not big on musicals. What do you think of Volphutroit winner Emma Stone? Do you think she has a chance for that Best Actress Oscar?
  11. Feb. 1 here and it's not even a sure thing by then! I want to cry, I will not let random screeners ruin my excitement for this film. I am going to watch this in a big screen!
  12. Potential $200K+ PTA according to Deadline! The Soundtrack is already #17 in iTunes
  13. I'm actually surprised that there is so much hype for this film in my country. I have seen so many angry posters in FB and Twitter when they moved La La Land's release date from December 7 to February 1 to accommodate some tragic local films which were disqualified in an upcoming festival lmao. My country should aim for quality. They moved Arrival and Your Name to unspecified dates too. A real mess.
