  1. Yeah. Not sure what Paramount was thinking with that release date less than 1 week before Mario. It was going to be buried regardless of the great WOM and reviews.
  2. Kojima is hugely respected in the gaming industry, so his endorsement might really influence gamers on the fence.
  3. One of the best movies I've seen in a while. Chris Pine was a great lead with really good comedic timing, and the supporting cast was really good too. I have nothing to complain about. I went to see it in the morning in IMAX, and there were probably just 30 people, but they seemed to have fun.
  4. 1- Revenge of the Sith 2- Empire Strikes Back 3- Clone Wars 4- Return of the Jedi 5- A New Hope 6- Mandalorian 7- Kenobi 8- Jedi: Fallen Order 9- The Force Awakens 10- Rogue One 11- Solo 12 - Andor 15- The Phantom Menace 16- Attack of the Clones 17- The Last Jedi 18- Boba Fett 20- The Rise of Skywalker
  5. Happy for Messi. There's no player more deserving. I guess the Top Gun releasing and Argentina winning the World Cup thing turned out to be true.
  6. I have no nostalgia for previous Spider-Man movies (I barely remember them, to be honest), and I enjoyed No Way Home more than most movies I've watched in the past few years. If you don't like it doesn't mean it's horrible or has no emotional weight. Peter's only relative dying or him being forgotten by everyone who knew him and loved him is plenty emotional.
  7. Pretty much this. My friend says that a lot of people in China were pretty hyped for TFA, but they left the theater baffled and disappointed, because it wasn't at all like the prequels: very few lightsaber fights, a boring western setting that didn't feel futuristic at all. Basically "not my Star Wars" type of reaction, which explains the huge drop from TFA to TLJ.
  8. I have a lot of Chinese friends, and they say that original Star Wars aren't popular in China at all, so the sequel trilogy's being a copy-paste of the OT actually hurt it in China, where people were introduced to Star Wars through the prequels (which did pretty well for their time and later were pirated a lot).
  9. Yes. Which is why the prequels aged well with the audiences: those teens are adults now who remember them fondly. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point in near future Disney switches from the OT nostalgia baiting to the PT nostalgia baiting.
  10. I agree with this. For all the flaws the prequels had, they were good for attracting young fans and selling merchandise. These new movies have very little going for them to attract the new audiences. You can milk the OT nostalgia only so much before it loses its effect.
  11. In China people love handsome male leads, and ROTS didn't exactly lack in that regard thanks to Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen.
  12. Heh, I guess a lot of people went to see this with really low expectations. Funny.
  13. Went to see not expecting it to be any good, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's not a piece of art and quite predictable, but it's a pretty entertaining movie to pass time. After seeing the pretentious and terrible mother!, this even felt like a breath of fresh air. 😃
