  1. Since when does Iron Man have superpowers? If you mean his suit, Batman was using a super suit too when facing Superman. Hulk being a moron actually makes him far more dangerous to Iron Man than Superman is to Batman. Atleast Superman knows to hold back against a human opponent, a giant rage monster won't do the same he should've turned Tony into a smear on the wall with his unrestrained hits. And again for over 75 years Superman's biggest enemy has been a normal human with no powers. If Batman vs Superman is illogical so is Superman vs his greatest villain ever.
  2. I don't see how Batman facing a man whose archenemy is a bald businessman is so illogical to you, with enough Kryptonite literally anyone could take on Superman. Iron Man beating Hulk in AoU is much less realistic than Batman fighting Superman because Hulk has no weakness to bring him closer to Tony's level. In BvS Batman was only ever able to hold his own with the K, outside of that he was getting his ass kicked. Yes comic book fans complain a lot but with the DCEU they nitpick everything, every negative report that comes out is used as proof the franchise is failing.
  3. Eh, Bale's Batman might not have killed but he did stuff comic book Batman would never do like when he left Ra's on that train to die. Comic Batman goes out of his way to save lives no matter who it is even if it's at the risk to himself, for anyone civillian, hero or villain. He's even gone out of his way to save the Joker, so Baleman isn't the best judge of how a movie Batman should behave imo. You're right that people are easier on movies they like but I guess I'll never be able to get behind they way of thinking, it just doesn't make sense to me. If Batman killing is so horrible and OOC to some people then they need to stand behind that argument no matter what whether the Batman that's killing is in a good movie or not.
  4. I don't think it not being released in 2016 has anything to do with it, when you bring it up today people always ignore that Keaton Batman killed, and there was plenty of public interest in Batman in 1989. The movie wouldn't have made the money it did if there wasn't. And not being released in the internet age hasn't stopped people from calling Superman IV, Supergirl, Howard the Duck etc. bad movies, it's not like people have short memories or no longer discuss older mivies. They just choose to not talk about the fact that Keaton Batman killed people while crucifying Batfleck for doing the same thing.
  5. You're really trying to argue that Keaton Batman gets as much flak for killing as Batfleck? That's not me being biased, it's true. Batfleck is constantly called a murderer and "not muh Batman!" because he killed people while Keaton gets a pass for gleefully murdering. And you just no if JL underperformed or flat out bombs people will happily mock it.
  6. Funny how the people who have a problem with Batfleck killing have no issues with Keaton's Batman SMILING as he puts a bomb in a guys pants and later blew up ACE chemical plant with people in it. So Batfleck killing is bad but Keaton Batman SMILING while attempting murder is ok, sure no DCEU bias there. There's a lot of petty bias against the DCEU, whenever a MCU movie gets more trailer views or does better at the b.o. we never hear the end of it. Thor: Ragnarok got more trailer views than JL, and people mocked JL. Ragnarok also got more views than Spider-Man: Homecoming and GOTG Vol. 2 but I don't hear any "LOL Thor beat Spider-Man!" comments. How about when GOTG made more than Man of Steel? It was "look Marvel made a movie about a talking tree and raccoon and it made more money than Superman!" Well GOTG also made more than TASM and TASM 2, there were no comments about talking trees and raccoon's beating Spider-Man. That conveniently wasn't worth mentioning for the internet. I get complaints about a character like Superman not working in a dark tone but it goes both ways. Why does no one care about Dr. Strange, historically a serious character being turned into a snark Tony Stark Jr. character? It seems people only care when lighter characters are turned dark but not when more serious characters are made lighter or more comical.
  7. No...? When did I ever say that? I said people complained that they were too dark which they do, not that anyone says they were bad movies. You act like universally liked movies don't ever get criticized. As popular as the MCU is for example a lot of people still complain about things about it. Like the humor and weak villains, doesn't mean the movies aren't beloved though.
  8. I hear people say that about TDK trilogy a lot, how they're too dark, not enough "fun", not real comic book movies, depressing etc. Those same people will praise Logan which was probably darker than any TDK trilogy film. Despite them going on about how superheroes are supposed to be lighthearted and not take themselves too seriously. Logan and Daredevil take themselves VERY seriously so regardless of quality I don't see why they can get away with being dark superhero stories but DC movies can't. Especially Batman movies.
  9. I find it hilarious that people shit on the DCEU for being to dark, grim and humorless then go and praise Daredevil and Logan, the fuck? Yeah, yeah I know "but those were good!" Still doesn't change the fact that they are just as grim as the DCEU. Logan was depressing as shit but I rarely see anyone bitch about that. Yet people complained about TDK trilogy being too dark, cause we all Batman is such a lighthearted jovial figure who needs MCUesque quips in his movies. And when they do put humor in their movies (SS and the JL trailer) people complain it's not funy. As if every one liner in the MCU has been hilarious, how about humor isn't the problem but quality is? I know people want to act like there's no bias against DC at all but I'm not sure I buy it.
  10. I find it interesting that going into SS so many people thought it would out open BvS because it had bigger social media buzz but BvS wound up opening $31m higher. Goes to show you Internet buzz isn't the same as real life buzz, not to say there was no buzz for it it irl it wasn't as big as it's Internet hype. They were on a even playing field in terms of reviews, both bad, but even with the "at least it's more fun" edge SS had BvS was still bigger. It's opening was huge of course but looking back I wonder why so many people were convinced this would open higher than Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in a movie together for the first time ever.
