Da Vinci Code was one of the most boring movies ever made. But Angels and Demons was surprisingly better. The ticking bomb plot gave it more energy and excitement, though it was very anti climactic. Still it gave me some good will towards this series

is it me or has The Da Vinci Code been completely forgotten? I mean I remember that was all people ever talked about and now nobody ever talks about. This is the ten year anniversary of that book yet I could hardly find any articles or anything talking about that fact.

I was intrigued by this since the title carries loads of religious connotations and I assumed it would round out a Catholic Church Trilogy for Dan Brown with some ancient mythological mysteries tossed in.

 

Then I found out the actual plot and got super-disappointed.

The book is action-packed. I can see why they'd do this instead of The Lost Symbol.

The book makes a very interesting observations regarding ancient cultures and so on. But the movie is dull as hell.

Amelie is a charming girl but she has zero chemistry with Tom Hanks. Kal el's mother is a little better in the sequel.

Move it up one week or push it a week. In December it is easier for multiple films to survive

Well Frost Nixon and Angels and Demons came out within six months of each other
