Nice, so Nolan is a pretty established director there. Is November a busy month for movie going?

Unless it's a film for children where you want to release during summer or a big Holiday, I don't think the release date is that important really. A successful film can come at any time.

LBP and 22JS are neck and neck, but the latter had much bigger drops after this, so if LBP could keep its legs it has a good chance of passing it.

10 10 The Equalizer Sony $8,321 -27.8% 3 -2 $2,774 $792,601 8

Didn't realize that Universal wasn't releasing Dumb And Dumber 2 in Israel, I'm sure that was the real number 1. IS drop isn't terrible, but it isn't very good. Inception was up 3.5%, Gravity down 8.3%. Gone Girl is still doing well but LBP suffers from DAD2 releasing.

Israel has a distinct taste, Superhero films always under perform, and Avengers isn't even the biggest superhero film (TDKR and TDK made more), and Frozen made less than Tangled.

looking into 2015, while Avengers and SW may be winning elsewhere, those films basically have no chance against Furious 7, which is the favourite to win next year.

The Superhero thing happesn here too. TA couldn't even make more than Thor 2. SH movies do ok for themselves, but unless they have some kind of fantasy connection (like Thor) they don't stand a chance against other movies.

OW total % change OW % change total Multiplier
Fast 3 158K 509K - - 3.22
Fast 4 424K 1.56M 168 206 3.68
Fast 5 746K 2.95M 76 89 3.95
Fast 6 1.15M 4.63M 54 57 4.03
Fast 7 1.61M - 40 - -

So Fast series haven't just been getting bigger openings, they have been getting better multipliers as well. If Fast7 has the same multiplier as Fast 6, It would end up with almost 6.5M (probably the third highest, would need to beat the Smurfs which made 6.47M).

Second weekend numbers in for FF7 the entire run so far have been during the holiday which has now ended, but the numbers are still crazy high:

1.61M 4 day Thursday-Sunday

1.2M 3 day Monday-Wednesday

1.1M 4 day Thursday-Sunday

Total after 11 days is 3.91M.

A comparison with the biggest films since Avatar, shows how far ahead FF7 is of the rest, it will come back down to earth now that Passover is over, but it has already made enough to finish with a great total:
