The visuals were great, the acting was solid and it was directed well enough. They removed/changed quite a lot from the novel, some good, some not so much. Most notably, they removed the reason the Formics never invaded a second time (obvious to those who read the book), making Ender's sympathy to them at the end a bit odd considering they apparently slaughtered millions of people for no reason. But aside from that, a good movie. A lot better than I was expecting. Even if Orson Scott Card is still a massive douchebag.
