Writer from Hercules? Seriously? No wonder these live action Disney fairytale films are so mediocre.

All these other movies had an immediate hook. Burton on Alice, Raimi on Oz, Jolie on Maleficent, Branagh on Cinderella, Wright on Pan but there is nothing that can make this or Favreau's Jungle Book appealing.

What about the star?

No star is going to want to star in Bill 'Fifth Estate' Condon's next turkey. He hasn't made anything good since 2004.

I wonder if Beauty will be a musical or a non-musical? You could easily take source material from both the film and the stage version, it could work as a non-musical film though, I think the Beast could be done by motion capture and /or make up and same with the objects although I think they should borrow what they did in the stage version and make them human but slowly turning into the objects,

Possible. I think this may take a Thanksgiving or Fall date.

I think August 12 could work. Already have Moana (not official).

October is also possible. They had Jungle Book this October originally.

OMG, Emma Watson is fucking PERFECT to play Belle.

Stephen Chbosky as the writer really heightens my expectations for this. Perks of Being a Wallflower was incredible.

Emma is my girl crush.  Love her.  She's perfect.  For anything.
