Beauty & The Beast | March 17, 2017 | New Trailer on Page 72

I agree about Jungle Book, but this Is fucking Beauty and the Beast. That's enough to get people interested right there.

I'm not interested. Well, I'm interested in the sense that I actively wish that they wouldn't make this movie.

Does anyone know if they're going to do the cups as CGI or how they're going to do that? I'm curious as to how this will look, but could not be more excited about Watson! If the rest of the cast comes through this well, this will be my most anticipated of 2016.

In the stage show, they actually aren't cups; they're like slowly transforming in horrible body horror into inanimate objects, knowing that if the curse isn't reversed, their souls will be trapped in unmovable bodies for all eternity.

This is Disney though, so probably CGI

WTF. Same songs and everything? So it’s just a live action version of the cartoon? Could be a disaster. And how will they make the Beast look convincing? I’m thinking of Johnny Depp as the Wolf in Into the Woods and cringing. Also, Emmy Rossum (who is an amazing singer) would have made a better Belle. That girl is so underrated.

emmy rossum is like the best actress that's never been in a good movie (not that this will be a good movie, lol)

I like the idea of Hardy as the beast, not sure about Cavil as Gaston though.

but but

every last inch of him's covered in hair.

not a bit of him scagly  or scrawny

and you can see he's biceps to spare.

and as a specimen he is intimidating.

I think that would work on film if they don't go the CG route

Kind of premature to say that.

OMG. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite animated film of all time, in fact it is in my top 10 favorite movies of all time, and they cast my dream Girl as belle, and they are keeping it a musical if this comes out in 2017. it will probably be my most anticipated film of the year. if it's 2016 then it definitely will be. just omG.. just omg..

Wouldn't be surprised to see Jackman take a smaller role in this. His breakthrough role on stage was Gaston; he might want to pay respect to that and say yes to Lumiere or something

Phantom of the Opera was good, and she would have been my second choice for Belle, though she is getting a bit old for the part now.

Wow, that's a beautiful song, and she sounds really great.

My thoughts exactly--I simply despise the whole idea. Why won't stinking Hollywood remake a BAD movie (based on a good idea) for once? That's a rhetorical question.

I know I'm probably setting myself up for disappointment, but for a long time I thought Beauty and the Beast was the most suitable to remake live action. but there is soo much that could go wrong.. but if they get it right ... :excited:
