Can someone tell me if the Marvel Studios intro logo is the same one used from Doctor Strange? A simple yes or no will suffice please.

It's the new awful logo.

Could someone, please, recap reactions for me? The thread blew up and I'm tied up with something and cannot read the whole thing atm. :(

Decent, though some are scared to death Because some of them are saying it's only Ok.

So should we expect IM2/AOU like reviews?

You mean decent reviews? Probably.

A song with The Hoff? That should boost this movie's German BO.

james gunn mentioned before that only one of the songs on the soundtrack was one a  fan suggested to him to use on twitter the rest he decided way before. apparently it was this one.

No. I think he means less than the usual level for Marvel (80/90%+).

14. "Guardians Inferno," The Sneepers featuring David Hasselhoff
This comedic original, co-written by Gunn and score composer Tyler Bates, is meant as a sort of Guardians take on Meco's disco Star Wars theme. Gunn is particularly proud of a line that rhymes "procyon lotor" – i.e., "racoon," as in Bradley Cooper's Rocket – with "motor." They recruited David Hasselhoff as vocalist largely because he's supposed to be one of Peter Quill's childhood heroes.

I'd say that's true for pretty much every MCU film other than Iron Man 1 and The Avengers.

They're mostly okay to good films, but they aren't really that memorable.

Of course this is my opinion.

Blah.

The original GOTG was also awesome.

Outside those 3 great movies, the MCU is consistently adequate and not much more.

Edit: To be honest, Iron Man 3, AOU, TWS were more than adequate. But it's a huge success for the MCU that virtually not a single one of their 14 movies was bad. Not an easy task.

I would argue that The Dark Word is bad.

I could compromise though. Guardians has some memorable moments if not specifically thanks to an excellent soundtrack.

On another note I rewatched Iron Man 3 the other day on FX and enjoyed it more than I remembered. I understand fans being butthurt about the Mandarin thing but tbh it gave the film something most Marvel films (and super hero films in general) - the element of surprise.

Monday evening is a very unusual opening here.  Tuesday is then a nationwide public holiday for ANZAC Day.

I'll investigate comparisons.

From Monday afternoon Fast8 will lose all large format screens as GOTG 2 opens.
