A young boy and a girl with a magic crystal must race against pirates and foreign agents in a search for a legendary floating castle.
 
Iceroll's list trivia:
Castle in the Sky is the first Studio Ghibli film to appear, and it is also the first film to be directed by Miyazaki. As you are all probably expecting, there will be several more Miyazaki films to come.
 
IMDB trivia:
On August 3, 2013, a Japanese showing of Castle in the Sky led to a new Twitter record with 143,199 tweets per second.

The Secret of NIMH is the first Don Bluth film to make an appearance.  There will be more to come (don't worry lol)
 
IMDB trivia:
Don Bluth, John Pomeroy and Gary Goldman all left Disney to pursue this project, which had originally been rejected by their former employer as "too dark" to be a commercial success. They were followed soon after by 20 other Disney animators, dubbed "The Disney Defectors" by the trade press.

When a young Inuit hunter needlessly kills a bear, he is magically changed into a bear himself as punishment with a talkative cub being his only guide to changing back.

There are 37 Disney films on this list (not counting Pixar). This is the lowest ranked 2D Disney film, but it still beat out many other WDAS films to make the list.
 
IMDB trivia:
The third and final film to be fully produced at Disney's Orlando, Florida animation facility at the Walt Disney World Disney-MGM Theme Park (after Mulan (1998) and Lilo & Stitch (2002)). This studio was shut down in March 2004 in favor of computer animated features.
