I'm going to play it safe and give my most pessimistic estimate for Power Rangers: $13.0M. And that's if it takes the same plunge as Allegiant, which had extenuating circumstances that thankfully don't apply to PR. Likewise, my most pessimistic DOM prediction is $87.9M.

  1.

I like most of your predictions but you're really, really underestimating Captain Underpants. I think it will make 4 times that much on opening weekend. I'm really curious to know why you only think it will make 16m opening weekend especially when there's no other animated films that weekend?

Just a bad release date IMO.

GotG Vol. 2, Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3 and POTC 5 all overlap with its target audience, while Wonder Woman will demand a lot of screens.

On top of that, Cars 3 and Despicable Me 3 kill any chances it may have of developing legs.

If it swapped dates with Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3, I'd increase my prediction, though.

Wimpy Kid might not do much at all, teens/tweens are mad at the new Rodrick.
