This is freaking crazy. I don't even understand.

What's not to understand? The show is fantastic so great word of mouth is bringing in new viewers every week. Empire is becoming a water cooler phenom. People have to watch it so that they can talk about it with their friends and coworkers.

Another series high for Empire. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2015/02/26/wednesday-final-ratings-empire-american-idol-suvivor-the-100-black-ish-nashville-adjusted-down/367873/

Empire earned a 5.3, up a tenth from last week's 5.2 adults 18-49 rating, rising again for the seventh consecutive week and setting yet another series high. Empire's Live + Same Day rating this week is the highest of any regular broadcast drama since Grey’s Anatomy in September 2010. In addition, Empire has grown more than any other new broadcast drama in over a decade (since House in 2004).

Simply amazing.

"Well, what can you do, Yoko? Can you play the tambourine?"

Loved Jamal's coming out moment. LOL at it being a top story on CNN but CNN is kind of a mess these days, so... Nice to see that the rest of the family was happy for him, even if Lucious is acting like someone died, dressing in black the next day and carrying on about the tragedy of it all.

Looks like Boo Boo Kitty's duplicity won't go undetected for long. Sometimes this show moves a little too fast!

Empire earned a yet another series high with a gargantuan 5.7, up 6 percent from last week's 5.4 adults 18-49 rating. This marks the eighth straight week that the show’s ratings have risen to a new high. Last night’s episode garnered the highest rating for any regularly scheduled broadcast drama since the October 1, 2009 episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Yourpredictions were a tad too pessimistic.

Guys it's going to hit a 6 soon! Freaking incredible.

Adjust up to a 5.8 in the final ratings.

Empire‘s growth spurt —  its ninth episode is up +50% vs the premiere in 18-49 — is the biggest for a new broadcast series in a decade, since another Fox drama, House, which rose +85% over the comparable period in 2004.
