It started as I feared, with being pretentious hipster crap ("Hey, have you heard of this movie called Strike!?" Yes, Adam Driver, literally anyone past first semester in film school has heard of Strike.), but after about a half hour, sets into a nice groove with an interesting take on documentary filmmaking. It had a really good ending too, and even though she was in the least of the main four, I really enjoyed Amanda Seyfried's presence here, which surprised me because I don't usually even notice her. Happy I saw it. B+

the hipsterness of it all, mostly contained in the first act, had me rolling my eyes pretty fucking hard, but something in there was compelling as hell, and as the movie went on and on, it became more and more compelling. Maybe it was the relatable characters or it being "piercingly honest", I don't really know.  85/100
