Miracles From Heaven, a follow-up to last year's surprise hit Heaven Is for Real, has been set for release March 18, 2016 — a week before the Easter holiday — by Sony Pictures Entertainment.

 

The film is based on the true story of Annabel Beam as told in a book of the same name by her mother Christy Beam. Miracles From Heaven: A Little Girl, Her Journey to Heaven, and Her Amazing Story of Healing was released April 14 by Hachette books.

 

Annabel, who lives in Texas, spent much of her childhood suffering from a rare and seemingly incurable digestive disorder that made it impossible for her to lead a normal life. One day when she was able to go outside and play with her sisters, she fell three stories headfirst into a hollowed-out tree. However, instead of dying, she emerged and said that while unconscious she had visited heaven. This is a comfort food genre that gives its audience exactly what they want. People don't see movies like this for the mind-blowing plot twists...

Apparently this movie has broken the record for trailer views in the faith based genre. 132m views to date.

Looks like it's going to give Divergent a run for it's money on opening weekend. 

IM predicting 28m OW and it could crack the 100m mark domestically.
