1.Perfect target audience.

2. Dwayne and Jason are buddies and are going to soon start work on Fast spinoff.

 

1) People will probably buy that as the pseudo sequel for Rampage 

 

2) Rampage will actually set the precedence for this movie 

 

Big bald dude fighting monster , one guy is more bankable and probably got more budget for his project.

 

This will score in the relative ballpark of Rampage or maybe in the same in all departments.

 

Or this will actual be an above average kickass movie ala Skull Island 0.5 and the BO god of August bless Meg with unsinkable legs so it trumps Rampage
