Wow @ those early reviews. Would have never seen that coming. The Conjuring franchise looks to be shaping up to easily be one of the most critically acclaimed horror franchise ever.

Saw this tonight. The reviews are no joke. Really, really well done – I'd actually say it's on par with the first Conjuring movie (and there are a lot of callbacks to it throughout).

 

For those wondering, it ties in perfectly to the first movie. There's no retconning.
