The Jungle Book | 543.1m Overseas | 885.6m Worldwide

Recommended Posts

Next week's Monday is a holiday. That, combined with the way the italian market works (and no comment about that), should give it a pretty strong hold on its 2nd weekend, possibly -20/25%. After that, it will be the usual semi-freefall.

Nothing exciting here in the last months: Zootopia got to 11.2, BvS will finish just a bit higher than 10M (insane drops for it!) and JB should get around there.

Only Japan and Hong Kong (major markets)

Amazing...400M+ from holdovers and 80M+ new markets

Thinking 670M+ OS (is that possible?)

Disney’s The Jungle Book has roared louder than projected with weekend actuals coming in at $138.6M versus Sunday’s estimate of $136.1M. That takes the offshore total to $189.9M after two frames.

Among the Jungle Book highlights is a $48.5M start in China which is down from the $50.3M estimated.

The Jungle Book in India, meanwhile, is on a wild ride. With $21.2M after just 10 days it is already the 3rd highest-grossing Hollywood release ever in the market

Rounding out the Top 5 of overseas plays for TJB are Russia with $14.6M, the UK at $14M and France at $8.1M.
