Good for Creed, but how does TGD's number compare to other movies?

Good numbers for both, hard to project the 5 day take from these numbers though.

Creed is an adult film, so it's bound to have higher nighttime business. Plus reviews are insane. TGD should really capitalise over the weekend, though.

Granted, there is not much precedent but this is always a good thing

the Michael B. Jordan-starring Rocky sequel/spin-off earned a whopping $1.4 million last night, which is actually a record for a Thanksgiving weekend release.

The Good Dino isn't exactly aimed at the crowd that rushes out one midnight on opening day, it well be fine

I kind of expected Creed to finish ahead of TGD. Family films don't do a whole lot Thursday (or in this case Tuesday) night. But I wasn't expecting #s this high. I was thinking o/u 1M for each.

I think that's good for Creed just because it proves the hype wasn't just an online thing

Fine numbers :).
Yes, it makes sense that Creed leads but still I didn't expect it.

Just now, Ethan Hunt said:

I'm pretty sure Scott Mendelson from Forbes said it was 1.2M.

So does that make TGD's number the second best on record?

Freewheeling use of "whopping" there.

Well, thats really solid for TGD. It will be interesting to see how it plays out over the week. Also, really good for Creed.

It's looking good for TGD, will probably be #1 on Wednesday too, given that it's a family film. Creed as well.
