Do you have the difference in exchange rates in comparison to SW 7 for country .... at hand? I mean the percentages?

Or with the exchange rates, so I could do maybe some sort of small chart so users can quote it from here to the threads e.. at dom (see this weekend at dom and later dailies/weekends probably too, and the SW R1 threads / clubs)

I read repeatedly in the dom area people not understanding e.g. OS OW expectations (totals too), based on not knowing e.g. the exchange rate changes.

Euro,British £, Yuan, AUS$, Rubel, Japan Yen, what else? Maybe countries like Mexico, Brazil, Sweden, Poland, ...  South Korea too already?

I think Indonesia might be interesting too, but BOM has no details to compare to in its foreign charts.

Did someone calculate the SW 7 previews /OD / OW / total for the Eurozone as a sum? Or other regions?

Who also to ask, I am so bad with names, I know I forgot at least 2 other usernames.

Do you really wanna listen to my advice?:kitschjob:

Why not?

Alright.

As far as I know, no powerful opponents will appear before Spring Festival. And the travel rush(many live in first-tier cities will come back to hometown for reuniting with family which mostly is located in third and fourth tier cities) will help Rogue One’s drop of Second and Third weekend(less than -60% for Mon, -10% for Tue-Thu and Sunday but +35%-60% on Saturday). 22 days for Rogue One(Jan.6 - 27, many watch TV on eve, and screen showings will be cut to 0.01% from first day of SF)

For the time being, levels of interest is not high, and I hope the film can keep the boom in US and Europe so that more audience will know it just like TFA

The most important thing is RT. Although Chinese seldom care about RT and MTC, it still make sense to box office for most time.

optimistic prediction

 ¥150m OD including midnights, ¥480m OW, ¥1,000m lifetime gross($140m).

@Jason do you happen to have data see my bigger post earlier about changed ex-change rates since SW 7, comparison details of SW 7,... per country or currency region?

It's about I (or whoever wants to do it) could write a kind of chart, like China, SW 7 preview / OD / OW / total / currency fell lets say 10% or the same for AUS, , rate grew xx% since SW 7...

= I think it might help people not into OS to understand better to 'judge' what SW R1 ~ accomplishes

YES!

I thought I had to do it from scratch, you posted this while I was writing to you, it shows already the adjusted details too, wow!

So if someone does not understand, I can give a link to you post here, and all should be clear, thank you very much!

First Number From Paris Les halles ( big theater in Paris)

Rogue one 312 admissions from 1 screen.

For comparaison TFA did 898 from 2 screens.

Very good for a morning session but nothing has to be compared to TFA.

When you do more than 150 ad in Les halles the movie will do great ^^.

RT 90%, MTC 82?

MTC has a strange disproportion to it (overlapping reviewers) only 65 what seem to be a bit strange (I've seen some ?? about that in threads in the dom area)

It seems to border to an r-rating ('not a family film'), no idea if or how that will impact.

Some of the negative reviews seem to criticise conflicting (too much - too less of the same detail)

One positive counting review is out of China:

Any comparison with some recent big film?

Best comparison would be BvS and it's pretty much on par with that.
CA3 was bigger, but had holidays.

Here are all the early showings for 2016:

From those early numbers, maybe a weekend around 1,3m admissions? Hard to tell if it will be more backloaded.

Isn't 1.3m a bit low? That would be FB level, despite FB opening in Paris to a bit more than 1/3 of RO's OD. But then again, FB had a freakishly huge 5-day opening considering how muted it's OD was.

Would be half of TFA with early shows beaing way weaker than half of TFA. It's only an estimate. As I said, could turn out more backloaded, but after all, it's Star Wars.

Just for the heck of it I made a comparison with TFA. If it follows the same ratio from the opening in Paris, RO would end up very slightly above 1m admissions. It needs to held better than that.
