cannastop
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/intl/belgium/?yr=2016&wk=7¤cy=local&p=.htm Zootopia made €1,132,472 in its Belgium opening. The only animated film to have a bigger debut is Minions, and that is a marketing juggernaut. This movie is probably going to be in the top 5 of the year in Belgium's box office. I wonder how this bodes for other countries. The Danish performance wasn't remarkable.

Other top markets include Spain ($5.9M), Italy ($2.8M), and South Korea ($2.5M). Dingdong123
I don't think the Italy numbers are bad. As per BOM, It scored the 2nd biggest Disney animation opening for Italy this decade, just behind Frozen. Altho I don't really know how movies leg out in Italy, but yeah atleast it's higher than BH6, Tangled and WiR. That South Korea numbers are looking bad tho. Below BH6 and Frozen's opening.
Omni
Tangled, WIR and BH6 were all released before Christmas, though.

European releases seem to have more volatile grossing patterns. Plus, new records in France and Poland! Yay!
kkccoo
It will bomb in Asian market. Too many references to the western culture. People there won't get some jokes. Just like inside out is totally based on a girl growing up in the Western countries, the parents moved a lot due to jobs or divorce but in most Asian countries, most families never move in their whole life. So you can't expect people there to resonate with the movie. Edited February 22, 2016 by kkccoo
