Well the first one did surprisingly well, even OS it made 90m which is way more than the usual Ferrell comedies do.

But even though i saw it recently i barely remember anything. I feel that it's unneeded and it will decrease but if they keep the budget relatively low it'll do fine.

I think this will do well. 35M+ OW and leg it out to 110-120M. Will most likely beat Red Sparrow over the weekend as well.

Comedies can be filmed and released quicker since there isn't a lot of post production, especially VFX, to deal with. Bad Moms 2 will start filming next month and release just 8 months later as well. 2 sequels to successful comedies will release in the first 2 weeks of November now, the demos are hopefully different enough that both can do well.

Eh, both comedies can co-exist. Bad Moms was R-rated and female-skewing, while Daddy's Home, in spite of its PG-13 rating, geared more towards families (I remember a few kids movies at the time had Daddy's Home as one of the previews).

I still don't get how the first movie did so much money, such a bad movie. This will be Neighbors 2 all over again.
