Thurs #s - R1 3.86m, Sing 3.6m, Pass 1.7m

Disney/Lucasfilm’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will continue its march on the box office in its fourth weekend with an estimated 3-day take in the mid $20M range with Illumination/Universal’s Sing not that far behind in second. Through last night, Rogue One totals $455.3M while Sing heads to $200M today. Rogue One led all movies yesterday with $3.86M, Sing slotted second with $3.6M and Passengers collected $1.7M in third with a cume before its third weekend of $72M.

Was hoping it wouldn't drop below 4m, so meh.  But I suppose an 8 percent to 9 percent drop isn't the end of the world with that Mon-Tue combo it had.

 

Still, for once from me at least:  Meh.

That is quite a bit under estimates for Sing (3.15 v 3.6).  Has to be the fact that being such a kid-centric movie is hurting its weekdays, right?

Possibly. Actually, considering the relative performances between Moana and Sing over the past few weeks, I'd guess that Sing is playing somewhat younger.
