Very good previews... almost too good  work with me moviegoers! I have a club that needs to succeed!

Following the first film, that would lead to a 56M weekend; not sure what sort of "sequel" factor can be ignored or not, but this number makes 40-45+ a much better possibility than I was originally thinking.

Also, shoutout to @YourMother for starting what was one of my most anticipated weekend threads in a while! :)

2.2 for batman would put it on course to at least match zootopia I would think. I don't know,'at be having batman in the film would have inflated previews a bit, but 75-80M looking rather nice

(sorry I'm basically just posting the obvious here, I really should just go back to sleep, I'm going on about 4 hours here. Damn English essays...)

good previews for both movies reported so far.

50 shades obviously opened lower than the original, but that was expected, but it is still a good number.

Lego Batman did a good number as well :)

Very good for Fifty Shades, even if it indicates that demand is significantly lower than it was for the first film. It's in for a very strong opening weekend, but the fact that Valentine's Day doesn't come until Tuesday should deflate it to some degree.

Good start for Lego. The fact that it drew a solid number on Thursday night should indicate that the periphery demographics (i.e. adults who enjoy Batman/the previous Lego film) are going to show up.

I'm curious to see where John Wick landed. I really do feel like it could go either way between legitimate breakout or over-hyped Internet favorite.
