Didn't see a thread for this. Movie about a kid with a facial deformity. Was going to come out in April but Lionsgate just shifted its release to Oscar season

It sounds like a premise that could easily end up treacly BS in the wrong hands, but the date shift makes me think there could be something here.

The book is actually pretty damn good and Jacob Tremblay is a national treasure, so I'm remaining hopeful.

That's what I thought when I heard about the book a couple of years ago. I heard a few people who read it say so too. I guess it could surprise but it's a pass for me as well, I think.

the book was popular so I can see it doing decent at the boxofice
