I was wondering why it took a huge jump this weekend. Yeah, Japan is the big X-Factor. They love their fairy tales so if this one resonates with them, which it looks like it did, the film's overseas prospects just got a whole lot bigger. $1.2B+ worldwide could now be in play.

According to members in the China forum, it doesn't even have a date yet so probably no release (if it hasn't been scheduled by now, it likely won't be). Japan for sure won't get a release date like every other DWA film since Madagascar 3.
