I just found out that The Circle has Bill Paxton in his last movie. That's unfortunate. At least it's a nothing supporting role.

more reason this film should have opened to #1. He was soo good as the president in the independence day movies glad he was able to come back for that role once again

I think you have him confused for Bill Pullman...

Europacorp will be fine but I suspect they'll go back to making mid budget thrillers like Taken and Lucy

Luc is like Napolean...swinging for the fence...giving his all in last ditch effort..but losing badly. Valerian will be the end of Europacorp unless the french govt bails it out just because of rising nationalism..

This is fascinating:

Quote

The Circle made its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival two days before its release, and while that might sound like a plus in regards to raising the film’s profile, it’s a PR plan that’s fraught with all kinds of peril, putting the movie under immense critical scrutiny (16% on Rotten Tomatoes) especially when it doesn’t have the goods to play at a major film festival. Tracking showed The Circle hitting 17-34 year olds, but what’s interesting is that there was a near even split between those under and over 50 per CinemaScore. Mostly females at 56% bought tickets with the under 25 crowd repping 23%. Both females and males gave Circle a D+.

Well, I guess that puts the "Watson is a draw" arguments to rest. Hanks' draw with older audiences is obviously undeniable. Gonna be fascinating to see just how old that Spielberg movie with Hanks and Streep will skew.
