A 47% Wed-to-Wed drop for GOTG Vol 2. I'm foreseeing a sub-50% drop for it this weekend.

 

Beauty and the Beast has hit $495 million. It is still looking like it could be over $498 million by the end of this weekend.

I don't see that shot at $400m with the next three weekends coming up.  Even if it gains a couple of million on CW over the weekend (not a surety) it will be $45m behind with Pirates, Baywatch, WW, CU & The Mummy over the next three weekends.

$380M is best case scenario for Guardians 2, so unless it drops at or under 35%, $400M ain't happening.

Its going to be about 266-267 by Thursday giving it around an 83 for the week.  So your talking about 104M extra or 1.25x the past week.  To get that it needs about a constant weekly drop of around 44% for the next 7 weeks.

It's on 263 after 3.9 Thu. Say 3.5 on Fri for 266.5 and 33 (-49%) over the weekend for 299.5.

Incidentally, CIVIL WAR also had a 33 3rd weekend and after that added 61 more to it's cume.

Those same legs (266.5 + 33 3rd weekend + 61 more) will take GOTG2 to 360.5.

 

But we are seeing better legs than CIVIL WAR so far as GOTG2 will have a similar (even if not the same) 3rd weekend despite OW being vastly behind : 146.5 vs 179.

So 370 would be on cards even with a 49-51% drop to 32-33 this weekend imo.
