I'll try to plan more of these in the future at hopefully a more convenient time next time around

In the future, I recommend setting a time at least a day before you do the movie so we can actually plan to be there to watch it, rather than a mere five hours prior

Yeah that was the problem, I completely forgot I had planned it for Thursday night so I had to do some last minute planning.

 

next time I'll try my best to stick with the time and remember it.

So this is actually something I've been doing with a group of friends from an MMO. I totally would have joined for this if I didn't find out when it was already in session.

I might be able to make that time, but Wednesday's when I get back from vacation and I have a lot of work to catch up on, so I could be swamped with stuff. We'll see.

 

Also, something that I think could be fun is to maybe have our movie nights be related to a movie coming out on the weekend. So this week we could watch one of the newest Apes movies or even the one from the 1960s. Then next week, we can see either a Nolan or Besson movie. Then the week after we watch John Wick or a Sony Animation movie. Etc. Not saying we have to, but it would be kinda cute.

Anyway, no harm in trying to set up a schedule if this is going to be a weekly occurrence (every Wednesday sounds good to me).  I'll go until the end of the summer for now (when the summer is over, I'll have to relocate these for Friday or Saturday since I won't be able to host these on the weekday).

 

July 12: Planet of the Apes (1968)

July 19: The Fifth Element

July 26: John Wick

August 2: Zero Dark Thirty

August 9: The Nut Job  The Conjuring

August 16: Ocean's Eleven

August 23: Enter the Dragon (since Birth of the Dragon comes out this week and it's the only one I could somehow relate to a previous movie)

August 30: Into the Storm (another tough one, so I just went with the director of Renegades' most recent picture)

 

If anyone has any better suggestions for certain days, please let me know and I'll adjust accordingly
