All I want is a year with one season of Marvel's Netflix series every month. The SH movies mean nothing to me.

Pretty good idea to make it R rated, definitely the right character to take in that direction. Just disappointed I won't be able to show my son who loves Venom.

My hopes have both increased and decreased at the same time.  I'm pleased that they're not making it standard PG-13 fare and at least trying to take a new route for it, but it's likely that they're only making it R because of Logan/Deadpool.

This seems like a bad idea to me.   A Spider-Man shared universe is not one you want to be shuffling between R and PG-13 rated movies on, IMO.  (Never mind that the last time Sony tried to kick-start their own shared universe built around Spidey, they failed spectacularly.)

If we're getting an R-rating, they'd better get some Cletus Kasady/Carnage in the movie too.

 

I mean, I can't see him fighting anyone else except for Spider-Man, and I'm pretty sure Peter Parker isn't going to be involved in this film...
