Oh, and here's one: Clint Eastwood's "Letters from Iwo Jima" (2006). Made 13M in the US, and 43M in Japan. The movie was in Japanese, but IMDb does list it as an American production.

RE5 has made only $11.1m after 3 days and the domestic total will probably be around $55m.

I can't see it beating the US gross at all.

RE4 only made 8.2M for its 2 day OW (13.2M with another weekend of previews), as opposed to 8.6M for RE5 (11.1M 3 day).

I don't think RE5 makes 50M DOM, it has already lost over 6M from RE4, and is just going to continue losing more every day.

One day at the box office is like the equivalent of a whole weekend of previews. So the $13.2m and $11.1m are comparable to me.
