Rsyu
I think it's ideal to compare Spider-Man: Homecoming to TASM, which is the most successful Spiderman film to date and had a similar release date (June 28). This is the presale figure for TASM on the day of release (it's the film in #1 slot with 123,580 presold admissions) TASM opened to less competition but had Deranged in its second week, which managed 4.5M admissions. Spider-Man: Homecoming opening week will be against 3 local films in their second week but the good news is that it looks like it will have little competition until Dunkirk hits the theaters on July 20. With the added factor of RDJ (huge in SK) $30M should be the floor in my opinion. Hopefully the presales will start to pick up soon. Spider-man franchise in Korea 1. Spiderman (2002) Gross: $16.9M Admissions: #no data 2. Spiderman 2 (2004) Gross: $13M Admissions: 1.5M 3. Spiderman 3 (2007) Gross: $34M Admissions: 4.6M 4. The Amazing Spider-man (2012) Gross: $36m Admissions: 4.85M 5. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) Gross: $33.8M Admissions: 4.17M Edited June 28, 2017 by Rsyu

Hardcore fans aside, people generally don't book a week in advance having said that, it's doubled since yesterday so I'd say that is a decent increase.

Rsyu
TF5 went from 6822 showtimes yesterday to 3595 showtimes today yet admissions inexplicably rose 6.5 points against two new releases.
Somoset
Does it come as a surprise to anyone that Anarchist from Colony had a bigger opening day than REAL?

No not really, REAL has an 18+ rating for one compared to Anarchist's 12+ meaning narrower demography. But even without that, REAL has been plagued with problems and controversy during filming and production, which snowballed and culminated in generally negative reactions during advance screenings. Consequently, REAL's rating on Naver has been plummeting post-release, having already fallen to 4.59/10.0 after just one day.
