Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets | July 21, 2017 | FLOP OF THE YEAR

Recommended Posts

The movie that was supposed to kick-start the summer  is already being considered a big disappointment. Valerian might get lucky to be the fresh, original film that people will be praying for after many uninspired sequels this summer:

Guardians 2

Alien 5

Pirates 5

Cars 3

Mummy 4

Transformers 5

Minions 4

Spider-man 6

Apes 3

If those sequels continue to feel tired and Valerian is great, I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a big hit.

TFW Captain Underpants is your 3rd most anticipated film of the summer and most anticipated superhero movie this year, you know this summer feels weak.

I'll be incredibly happy if Valerian is as good as Guardians 2 was.

The batte for best Sci-fi world building between Valerian and Guardians Vol 2 is gonna be glorious.

The Last Jedi movie will probably try nothing in that department , per usual.

I loved GOTG2, but I'd put my money on Valerian.

The Star Wars world has already been built. I just want some damn character work.

I saw a bunch of character posters on IMDB. They're pretttty bad.

They look gorgeous and they even managed to make Cara look even more gorgeous(she's pretty but not that gorgeous):

Other than parts of the prequels, Star Wars never felt like a "world building" franchise to me.
