Chris Evans is not great but Pratt is charismatic and quite good. I am sure unlike Evans, He will have a successful career outside blockbuster movies.

Gifted though.

Heck even Snowpiercer.

Lmao, when I said I'm not into Dane and suggest Liam, it's more like, "They already chose a beaut with zero talent for one of the lead, why not choose another one for the other?". So yeah, I'm kinda taking the piss on all of them :P

But I guess if Luc chose them, I can only wait and see if he made the right choice or not.

They've got some pretty unappealing leads for that kind of budget.

Unappealing leads for an unappealing movie. Makes sense to me.

I'm into this movie and I can understand why others aren't, but the two leads seem to very much fit that sense of sassy, trashy fun that the whole project is aiming for.

im not sure dane dehane fits that mold, seems too angsty teenager.

He looks TERRIBLE in Gifted based on the trailer.

He got great reviews for his performance (even when the reviews for the film weren't) and he's fantastic in it.

It's not exactly the first time though.

Gifted is currently the #1 Indie film of the year so far - so there.  :P

Pratt - he has a very narrow niche that he's good in.  Goofballl - be it lead or supporting.  He's been deadly dull in anything where he's attempting to play a straight lead.

I was reading through Besson's AMA on Reddit, and the dude is easily one of the most passionate directors working.  Apparently, he's been working on Valerian for almost 10 years at this point.

AMA here: https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/626rke/hi_im_luc_besson_filmmaker_behind_the_fifth/

lol you found that out now....
