John Wayne. The closest thing there was to "action" movies in the 30s/40s/50s aside from WW2 films were Westerns.Charlton Heston perhaps. He did his share of WW2 films and historical epics with good amounts of action in them.

Which Movies should I associate them with....

People can look them up on IMDB, there's no need to provide a list of their credentials in a poll since most of these people go beyond just a couple key movies.For example, Charles Bronson was also involved in several "action" movies aside from Death Wish such as the Magnificent Seven, Great Escape, Once Upon a Time in the West, etc. Sean Connery was involved with several WW2 movies and period adventure films in the 60s and 70s outside of Bond.
