If the WOM was good it would be making more since it out opened Ant-man handily.

Im aware druv.. I know its not good like AM.

Im just asking/pointing out that when it falls behind tomorrow its not just the supposed bad WOM.. When compared to AM..

True but as we've seen in China movie with good holds will get showtimes back if another movie flops. MJ2 isn't looking good and if Spectre was having good holds it would get some of those shows back.

What's with all this negativity here?...........JB24 is a very good film, it's just that in some countries around the world, with different cultures............people don't understand the films as well, and perhaps don't know the history of a films franchise.

The reality is that Spectre is doing very well in China, and hopefully it doesn't decline too much this weekend!

Did Ant Man have a compareable screen loss on its 2nd friday like JB24 will have tomorrow??

JB has followed AM pretty good all week and will fall way behind tomorrow due to bad WOM(according to firedeep)..

But a screen count of 15% must be lower than AM had and could therefor be the main reason. Not the acclaimed bad WOM

Or?

It didn't hold as well on Sunday and Monday but very close the rest of the week. WOM looked to be better on AM, but the numbers don't show bad WOM for JB either.   AM didn't have much competition or screen loss it's second weekend.

Thats what i mean. WOM is not great, but its not THAT bad.. And was'ent a more adult movie always going to drop a bit more on sunday than a

Marvel movie? What we have seen is just a bit more frontloaded movie how has much more competition in its 2nd weekend

HOLY CRAB! Spectre's % drop is horrid. Compared to Ant-Man it looks even worse since that made 26M on its 2nd Friday.

No its not that bad...........SP is only a fraction behind the 2nd and 3rd placed films...........and wait for Saturday's figure.

What is bad is that opening for MJ2!

With competition underwhelming, what are estimates like for The Martian?

with pre-sales already looking good, 400-500M in 5-days and 800M+ toal likely.

$65-75M first 5-days

$130-150M total

Is January 10th a good/decent date for SW7?

Quote

I dont think it's a good one. Judging by the release dates it's better to release on 8th because on jan 15th there are 6 new films releasing.. If released on 10th it won't have that 2 days advantage.
