The simple concept of hater just work on an epidermal level. As for me, it's about love for animation. If a despicable cheap storyless postmodern (one could easily make a parallelism with the changes in politics) piece of trash like Minions had been released by Disney, I would have been extremely upset - it would have been a betrayal. I hated Dreamworks, but loved (for example) Monsters vs Aliens (strong animation, expensive production, feminist themes, genuibe characters, ..) and rooted for it. If Illumination ever makes a Lion King or even a Wreck-it-Ralph, it will deserve a success based on the product. As of now, it deserves a success based on cunning.

PS for tomorrow will reach 32m tonight.  At 5x itll make just 160m. I doubt itll do 6x at 192m.  Not a big bump happening. 

430-450m/$63-66m weekend.  

600m by thursday. Should it drop 75% in the following 2 weeks itll reach 800m minimum. 900m probable. 1000m possible depending on this week's daily holds and next weekends show count.

 

TF5 down nearly 80%. It will probably drop that much next weekend too. Itll finish 1530-1550m/ $224-227m
